My favorite childhood memory, or memories, is probably those rainy summer days when we were outside jumping on the trampoline. It's so much more fun when the trampoline is wet, because you basically fly up into space!! We loved it and did it as often as we could.
Another memory that I have is from the summer we sold our house in Norway. It was probably the best summer of my life. We sold our house and basically didn't have anywhere to live for a few weeks, so we decided to go on a trip. First off was a horse riding camp for a week. I loved every second of it and we were really lucky with the weather. It was me, my little brother, my mom and my dad. I had a blast with the horses that whole week. After that, we flew to Paris and spent a few days or a week (I can't remember) there. We went to disneyland and even though we were there in the middle of summer and it was PACKED, it was still a lot of fun. The hotel we stayed at was amazing! It was so incredibly beautiful and so fit for kids.
After Paris, we went to Croatia. I can't remember what it was called but it was a decent sized town I guess, not too small but not too big either. We went to the beach pretty much everyday, we ate ice cream in the sun and had a blast. One day, we went to Dubrovnik and saw the aftermath of the war there. It was really interesting and cool to see everything as a child, but as I got older, I realized that it actually was a war there for not too long ago and it wasn't just a cool place to visist. It's really sad to me that wars exist, I hate them. But I wasn't older than 9 so I didn't really understand the whole war thing, I just saw all these cool buildings that were destroyed.
After Croatia, we went back to our new home. Our house wasn't built yet, so we lived with my grandma who is our next door neighbour for a few weeks, before we moved into a tiny apartment down the road that we rented until our house was finished.
That summer was the summer that completely changed my life, and I loved every single second of it!
